Welcome the 4th industrial revolution
Have you walked in the footsteps of someone born on the verge of the 3rd industrial revolution
Week 32 (33/52) Friday 20th August 23
If you think back 102 years this was the most popular car.
Whereas in 2023 the car sold the most to date is
102 years ago we were making a trainistion from
The second industrial revolution - science and mass production to the third industrial revolution - the digital revolution
Those of us living now are living through the transition to the 4th industrial revolution. This transition is very tough for many of us.
Stack 102 pennies on top of each other and this makes quite a stack - but when you count in years that makes a large number and a lot of experiences.
I am talking about 102 because I was recently talking with someone born in 1921 and it made me wonder what our world looks like to her versus what she was born into. The change is indescribable.
Yes, 102 represents the 102 years that Gladys's lived.
"Gladys's life was bookended by two Kings - George V and Charles III and filled by the longest reigning female monarch" This was a great statement made at her funeral by the great Revenered JT, Gladys's son-in-law. I can say great because I personally know him and he has taken the role of being my daughter's adopted Grandad for all of her 22 years - he is a beautiful man and she is a very lucky woman Sam.
Anyway back to Gladys'.
She didn't understand my ramblings about #web3 - but she listened and she asked a few questions. And for that reason, I want to record her in my #web3 journey. I'm putting her in the record of #web3.
Her journey started way before the internet, in fact, it started way before so many of the electronic gadgets that we take for granted today (another line from Reverend JT). But she always asked questions about what these new shiny things do and even brought some into her home.
She reminded me about what we are all doing today - listening and asking questions about the new Internet which is disrupting all aspects of our society, our identity, our economy, our culture, and our ownership - and if Gladys can ask questions and listen - I'm sure we all can.
So let's make 2023 the year we all ask a million questions about everything and anything we do not know about #web3 and take ourselves on a journey of discovery!
